Frodo's Quest: Another Ranger of Ithilien, Rebased and Touched Up

As mentioned, I have been doing some work on this here Ranger, too.

He has been given almost the exact same treatment as his colleague from yeaterday, and now he is ready for the table once more.

Tomorrow is December, and I shall turn my attention to some Winter/Christmas-themed stuff for the next couple of weeks, at least.

Frodo's Quest: Ranger of Ithilien, Rebased and Touched Up

I painted this guy quite a few years ago, and he had suffered some battle damage and also needed a new base.

I did some paint repairs, mainly on the cloak and leather doublet, repainted the bracers and his skin, and also gave him his first set of eyes, ever.

I think he will now do for the table.

As previously mentioned, I have dug out all my Ranger minis, and I am prepping some of them 'on the side' as I want to get more ready for some gaming, also Warlords of Erehwon for which I need at least five (which I actually already have, including the two old Ithilien Rangers and Aragorn).
I have his standing and nearly identical twin on the pain(t) station right now, for the same treatment - if everything goes to plan, I shall have him finished by tomorrow evening.

Old Mini, New Life

Something a bit different today, but I am following all my whims at the time being.

I haven been doing some work on this old fella over time. He was block painted many years ago for a D&D character I was GM'ing for back then (apart form the skin which was patially shaded and highlighted).

He has been given a new base (surprise!), and then a wash with Agrax Earthshade on his clothing and gear (apart from the lantern and the knife).

His hair was a stark yellow colour, so I have repainted it with a more natural hue (I hope).

Finally, I have given him eyes.
I have taken som pics from different angles; I am quite pleased with the effect of the shading.
From the back. Nothing to complain about, here.
I used to be able to arrange up to three small pics aside, but Blogger must have changed something - it seems impossible to line up pics these days.

GoB: Hornblower Repair Done!

At the same time when I washed my plastic skellies, I also finished the repair job on this guy by washing his hand and sword in Agrax Earthshade.

He has now been placed back with his unit in my Skeleton Army Box - which, by the way, is going to have to be complemented by a second one, when I have finished the unit(s) I am working on (my Skeleton Infantry is going to take up an entire box by itself).

I am sending out feelers to get a game organized, and hope to get one scheduled before the end of the month, but we shall just have to see... Ulolkish/Duregar is busy renovating his flat, and then he will probably need another month or so cleaning and decorating his recently acquired house, and Kevin spends a lot of time renovating his house (I think he and his wife/girlfriend bought it last year or 2015, and by his own words, it will take him years to get all the projects he has in mind finished), so gaming may prove a bit scant this winter.
