The last addition to my X-wing collection for now, the Quadjumper is my first designated Scum faction ship - and an interesting one to boot!
A Quadjumper pilot has some nasty tricks up the sleeves, and I am sure it will surprise some opponents.

Star Wars X-wing: Sabine's TIE From Rebels
Another part of the recent expansion of my X-wing collection, the TIE fighter 'liberated' by Zeb and Ezra, and later put to good use by the Spectres.

X-wing: Slave-1
Part of my latest purchase for X-wing (1st ed.). I bought it along with Star Wars Legion, as it was at a reduced price (probably because of 2nd Ed. coming out this fall), so my collection slowly grows.

2018-07-02, Star Wars X-Wing: Introducing Michael to the Game
Last Saturday we had been invited to Glamsbjerg, and I brought X-wing to introduce Michael to the game.
I mocked up two forces without any upgrades, and we had a scrap. In the end, a lone A-wing fled the area with Darth Vader and a couple of TIEs securing the victory for the Empire.

BUGS!
I found my 10/15 mm Xenomorphs from Pendraken and Khurasan; I want to get a lot of them painted for a gaming aquaintant's sci-fi adaption of Sellswords & Spellslingers (working title: Starships & Gunslingers), and plan to buy a handful of USCM-proxies to use as the heroes.
I need to finish my Greek Archer project, and get some more minis off the prepping station, first, though, but as I am starting my five days off period today, I should make rapid progress over the next week!
I originally purchased these to make a 15 mm God of Battles proxy T'lekkan army, and that project shall of course be re-animated at the same time (which means that I shall also have to dig out my 15 mm Copplestone Barbarians in a not too distant future).

Star Wars X-Wing: Inquisitor's TIE (TIE Advanced V1)
When you say 'Rebels', you must also say 'Inquisitor's TIE-Fighter'. Or something...
When I ordered Ghost (and some card sleeves) I also got this iconic little ship from the Star Wars Rebels show.
When I ordered Ghost (and some card sleeves) I also got this iconic little ship from the Star Wars Rebels show.
It is the prototype of the TIE Advanced later used by Vader (and probably other high ranking Imperial aces), and comes with shields and targeting computer, which combined with better pilots than the usual TIEs makes it almost as tough as a reliable old X-Wing.
Very much looking forward to try it!
Star Wars X-Wing: Ghost and Phantom
It is Star Wars Day, and what better way to start celebrating than showing my latest acquisitions for the X-Wing game so thoroughly enjoyed by my youngest offspring and myself?
After buying Phantom II on a whim, and then playing some games with Lea the last couple of days, I decided to get some more Star Wars: Rebels-related stuff for X-Wing.
Here is Ghost, with the attack shuttle Phantom, and the entire Spectre crew. I forgot to order Sabine's TIE-Fighter, but the 1st ed. stuff may come on sale, soonish, as the 2nd ed. has been announced, so I may be able to get a few bits and bobs with a nice discount (as of now, I see no reson to plunge into conversion to 2nd ed., as long as I don't buy any 2nd ed. ships, but we shall see...)

2018-05-02, Star Wars X-Wing: 3rd Game, The Empire Strikes Back(?), Part 2
Lea and I continued our third game Wednesday evening after dinner (and me walking Molly), as I wanted to get it finished, so I could clear the table for some work I have to finish for the weekend's gaming appointments.
Luke's X-Wing sat in a tight spot between all the TIEs, and had to try to evade a LOT of laser blasts
Ezra tried to help, but his shooting was inadequate.
As mentioned, ships with bases touching cannot target each other - I had not looked it up at this point.
If I had, Luke would not have lost a shield, here
As it were, a shield was knocked out, and the Imperial pilots kept firing from all sides.
The dog-fight intensfied!
Luke got his restored shield knocked down again
Ezra using the Auxiliary Firing Arc (I think it is called) of Phantom II
Luke took a heavy hit, and his X-Wing blew up. Luckily he had anticipated this and ejected with a repirator mere seconds before
Phantom II was taking some severe punishment
Ezra sent out a distress signal, and made a run for it
Of course, both Ezra and Luke were left for dead and later rescued by Han and Chewie in the Falcon - but that, as they say, is a completely different story!
The difference in points was too big this time, and I shall try to balance the points more, again next game we play.
I also shall not make quite as detailed AARs, as taking all those photos slows down gameplay somewhat, especially with more ships on the table.
But it was nice to see that a TIE-swarm can actually win - even though when I play it, is has to outnumber the Rebels substantially 😄
I apologize if the layout of this post is a bit messy - I had to write and edit it in Explorer, as I am not allowed to install Chrome at work, and Blogger behaves a bit.. erratically.. when exposed to a Microsoft environment.

2018-05-01, Star Wars X-Wing: 3rd Game, The Empire Strikes Back(?), Part 1
As mentioned yesterday, Lea and I started a third game that we did not finish
Rebel Alliance:
Phantom II, Ezra Bridger: 17 pts.
X-Wing, Luke Skywalker: 28 pts.
Rebel Alliance Total: 53 pts.
Galactic Empire:
TIE Fighter, Night Beast: 15 pts.
TIE Fighter, Obsidian Squadron Pilot: 13 pts.
TIE Fighter, Obsidian Squadron Pilot: 13 pts.
TIE Fighter, Black Squadron Pilot: 14 pts.
TIE Fighter, Black Squadron Pilot: 14 pts.
Galactic Empire Total: 69 pts.
Obsidian Squadron and Black Squadron swept in to intercept the Rebels.
Black Squadron obviously wanted to outflank the opponents, while Obsidian Squadron fanned out taking Luke head-on.
Which is... not so good an idea...
Night Beast ate a laser blast.
His wingman opened up on Phantom II, but missed!
Ezra, on the other hand, found his mark and the Imperial pilots probably began to worry a bit.
Night beast only avoided Luke's blasters by employing evasive maneuvers, but he was, understandably, distracted by being tailed by a Rebel Ace, and missed the Phantom.
Ezra, busily avoiding Night Beast's fire, pulled the trigger too late, and missed the TIE.
The Black Squadron Pilot returned fire, and knocked down Phantom's only shield.
One of the Obsidian Squadron Pilots tried to hit Luke's X-Wing from behind, but missed.
Close quarter fighting - actually not allowed by the rules; when bases touch, ships are passing over/under each other and cannot target. Forgot it.
So, the TIE took two hits from the X-Wing.
This is how far we got, yesterday, and although we brought the game to a conclusion this evening, for lack of time I shall have to pause here, and make another post tomorrow about the rest of the game.
Stay tuned for more mayhem and destruction!
