The Brew That Did Go On And On...

...has finally been bottled. I probably could have done so a month or more ago, but the lawn cobblestone edge project took too much of my time back then.

31 bottles of Huscarl Mead just need labels, and then they can go into the basement for storage.

Of course, I also have to let the corks settle in, before I put the bottles in a wine rack down there.

In addidition to the 31 bottles, I have half a bottle left over which I have just closed with an old cork and am going to leave in the kitchen. And then there is the leftovers from the demi-john, which are being filtered as I write this.

LotR Moria Fellowship Plastics

As part of the clearing of the prepping station, I decided to get some primer on some of the Moria Fellowship models (I had to prime another model that I want to paint for the Back of Beyond Painting Club at the Lead Adventure Forum, anyway).

I had not finished putting filler on the bases of Gimli and Boromir, so they just had to sit this one out, but now at least I can start painting some of these for use with Blood Eagle. I may want to bring a Blood Eagle table for Horisont this year.

More LotR Rebasing

I have been at it with my razor-saw today. The Minas Tirith warriors are a really bad second-hand paintjob, but they will be placed in the rear ranks of future units for my Gondor God of Battles army (and, for now, it will be good to get them cleared away from the prepping station - I really need more space!). The Rohan warriors will be added to my Blood Eagle Rohan/Saxon warband right away, as soon as their bases are finished.

USUTHU! More Warriors in the Pipeline

I have been cleaning up the first three (of four) bodies for the next batch of Zulus. This time I am going to model four unblooded/unmarried warriors with firearms to add some ranged support for the Impi.

I hope to have time for at least getting the arms attached to all four models, but I have a lot of other stuff to attend to tomorrow, so maybe that is a tad too optimistic. Luckily, I still have two married/veteran warriors to work on, and I also primed some other models today, so I shall not run out of stuff to do, even if modelling time must be scrapped tomorrow.

I think I shall have the second one finished tomorrow, and then I shall probably have to wait for a Miniaturicum order to arrive to finish the last two of this batch (I need some more Foundry Dusky Flesh Light to finish a mix, as I use Dusky Flesh on both of those) - and in the meantime, I shall paint another mini for the BoB Painting Club at the LAF, probably finish a half-painted Viking and start prepping four unblooded/unmarried warriors with rifles.

I also hope to get a game or two arranged for next weekend, as gardening is now kept to a minimum, and I should be able to reserve a few hours for socializing at the gaming table.
