Shadows over Gondor: The Battle of Amon Thorongil (test-run AAR), Part 4

And the story continues:

Again, the bodyguards get hit by Divine Wrath:

Taking down yet another Dwarf.

I forgot to activate the Fiefdom Spearmen to try sacking the enemy Baggage Train, so the Dwarven archers managed to get into base contact with it. Bugger!

I don't remember what I moved next, but then the archers re-activated, charging my unit

Bumping the off...

The situation looked rather bleak for them now, though, when the other warrior unit closed in.

Next activation, the Dwarf commander prayed for guidance (drew some Sacrifice Cards), and then the Fiefdom Warriors re-activated to move even closer to the Baggage Train.

At my centre left the Dwarven Warriors kept advancing.

Seeing their comrades so close, the Fiefdom Spearmen hardened their resolve, and tried shifting the Dwarves from the Baggage.

Actually killing just one too few to rout the survivors. Furtnhermore, being a Loose Unit attacking a Formed Unit, they had to Recoil after the fighting.

Denethor, sensing impending doom (and maybe the ground trembling from the tunnelers' endeavour)....

Decides to pull back the Warriors of Minas Tirith.

The Berserkers move into position beside the warriors.

To be continued...

    1. Not sppoiling at all, just building up to the climax that was demo-ing the game at Horisont VI - which Duregar and I have been building these armies for (it took place Fri-Sun, but I am finishing this before showing the pcs from the event).
