Thanks, I hope what I have in mind for them will be satisfactory, then; they will be fairly plain yellow desert, perhaps with a bit more structure than the old ones (I think they were originally primed AFTER the sand was glued on, which results in a 'softer' surface).

I've got these models too! It will be good to see your ones completed; they're nicely painted and deserve decent bases.
